Tournament Results

The JC Mambas are your Boys Varsity Champions going undefeated for the weekend. It is not easy to play a team and 2 hours play them again for all the marbles. The championship went down to the wire. All Tournament member Jameon Harris led all scorers in the Championship game with 25 points followed by teammate and MVP Alvin Walls with 24.

Riding Alex Springs 31 points in the championship game the Florida Kings emerged victorious over Liberty Edge to capture the 8th grade crown. Springs led all scores in the 8th grade division averaging 16.25 points a game and earned All Tournament honors. Max Fontaine played a complete game adding 11 points in the championship game and earned Most Valuable Player. Josiah Cotto added 34 points this weekend and All tournament winner Janiel De Los Santos had 39 points. Balance is a way to look at the completeness of a team and every member of the Kings Contributed in the scoring column.

We look forward to those rivalry games all year and look back on them for a year. Sunday saw the Wolfpack and Pirates face off in the final game of pool play and then again a couple hours later in the Championship game as if that was not enough the Pirates and Wolfpack resolved this game in Overtime. The Pirates led by Marcus Nester’s 29 Points and MVP Jack Naylon’s Leadership were able to claim the Think Pink crown. The Pirates also had Seth Matheny and Andrew Rhoten earn All Tournament honors.

The Think Pink 7th grade crown belongs to Gainesville Stampede after they defeated Skills Center Elite. Lucas Bhathia led the way in the Championship game with 18 Points and earning Most Valuable Player, right behind him was Ezra Olmedo scoring 17 points Sunday afternoon earning All tournament honors. All Tournament Matthew Johnson dropped 15 points in championship action.

The Wave out of the Sarasota Area captured the title this weekend in the Girls Varsity Division. The Wave went undefeated at Think Pink. Zi Burns lead the way on the Score sheet with 29 points, while Azareeyah Heaven added 20 points, both earning All Tournament Honors. The MVP Kymani Freeman Added 16 points on the weekend. The Wave Earned this Championship with Defense allowing just under 21 points a game. Leading all Scores this weekend was Zanaliyah Hutchinson of the Bay Area Titans dropping 64 this weekend to earn her spot on the All tournament Team. Nathalie Santana also earned Al

The 9th Grade Champions are Dem Boyz. They went undefeated for the weekend facing Team M.O.A.M. twice on Sunday to capture the title. Defense wins championships Dem Boyz proved it by allowing just over 42 points a game. Demetrius Luther who tallied 32 against MCA on Saturday led Dem Boyz in scoring averaging 16 points a game. All tournament Reginald Jackson of Dem Boyz also averaged double digits on the weekend. Jacob Crain of Team M.O.A.M.

Florida Elite Southwest took home the 17 and under US Amateur Basketball National Championship with their 70-52 win over the Gainesville Stampede.
Florida Elite Southwest was led by Jovan Stulic, who scored 19 points in the title game. Cole Jacobson added 14 points, moving himself as a valuable threat on the wing as a there-point shooter. Trevor Tracy scored 12 points while Darlin Davis and Bishop Thomas each scored nine points.
For Gainesville Stampede, Kensha Williams led the way with 13 points while Israel Wilcox scored 11 points and Quintin Williams added nine.
