Tournament Results

Chobee Nation started and ended strong.  Their solid play led them to a rematch against Florida Elite’s 4th grade team for the championship.  Chobee Nation beat Florida Elite 36-29.

The Florida Phenoms and Mambas had strong pool and bracket play each winning, on average, by 20.  They met for the first time in the championship game and then Florida Phenoms were victorious with a final score of 75-61.

Both teams had little to no problems in pool play.  Naples Storm-Anderson went undefeated in pool play and the Venice Warriors went 2-1, due to a loss to Naples Storm-Anderson.  In their rematch, although it was closer, the result was the same.  Naples Storm-Anderson was victorious with a final score of 48-36.

Both teams played a grade up and struggled in pool play.  When they faced each other Chobee Nation ran away with it both times.  Chobee Nation was crowned champion thanks to their 48-25 victory over the Venice Warriors.

Chobee Nation and Naples Storm each cruised through pool play and only had issues win they played each other.  Each game was decided by less than 3 points.  Naples Storm was victorious in each game, winning 40-38 in pool play and then wining 45-42 for the championship.

Florida Storm Elite and Hoops on Mission both cruised to pool and bracket play with little to no problems.  When they played each other, it was a tight game until the end.  Hoops on Mission emerged victorious with a final score of 45-39.

Florida Storm Elite had very little trouble in pool or bracket play.  The Florida Sons gave them a few problems in pool play but FSE still won the game by 3.  In their rematch, this time for the championship, FSE ran away with the game.  The final score was 65-36.

For the Love Finest had strong pool play.  They kept this up in bracket play and cruised to the championship game, which they won 70-40.

Florida Storm Elite’s 6th grade team and the Charlotte Swish struggled in pool play but had a solid showing in bracket play.  They two met for the championship game and FSE won the tight game with a final score of 61-59.

Congratulations to Team Edition on winning Slamfest this past weekend.  They started their championship run off with a 46-35 over Broward Blue Chips, which was followed up by a 45-29 win over Wellington Wolves, and they rounded out pool play with a close win over Team Mamba, 39-37.  In the championship game they were matched up against Team Mamba once against.  It was a highly contested game with Team Edition pulling away to win 48-37.
