Tournament Results

The Condors came out as champions of the 12th grade at Slamfest. They faced some tough competition in pool play but got to face off against the Kings to decide on the 12th grade championship. They defeated the Kings 73-62 to be crowned champions.

Congratulations to the Wellington Wolves on a perfect en route to the Slamfest title. They started the weekend off with a close game against the Lady Jaguars of South Florida, coming out on top 69-66. That was followed by a huge win over Key Largo Islanders 72-34. They rounded out pool play against their own friends, Wellington Wolves 10th grade, where they won that one 37-29. In the championship game, the Lady Jaguars of South Florida would try and avenge their earlier loss to the Wolves, but the Wolves were not going to let that happen. Both the Treasure Coast Titans and Team Venom cruised through pool play, blowing teams out by nearly 20 points a game. Their outstanding play carried over to bracket play as well. Both teams seemed unstoppable until they met one another. The championship game was truly a nail biter but there can only be one winner. The Treasure Coast Titans pulled out a narrow win with a final score of 52-51.

The KT Warriors suffered a 2-point loss against HG Elite in their very first pool play game. They bounced back with an impressive 77-40 win over FTL. They ended pool play strong with a 59-48 victory over Florida Breeze. The Warriors met HG Elite again, but this time for the championship. After another hard fought game, the KT Warriors were victorious with a final score of 48-46.

Both teams were playing up a division and struggled a bit in pool play. When the two faced off for the 4th grade championship Savage Elite was victorious with a final score of 40-21.

After having a tough go in pool play, Old School was given the chance to stand out in the Silver division bracket in the 8th grade. They began play with a 55-47 win over Wave Basketball. This moved them into the championship against Lehigh Blue Devils. This game was close all the way until the end with Old School prevailing to bring home the championship, 43-39.

Impact Academy were champions in the high school girls division at the Sarasota Xplosion Shootout. They started their title run with an undefeated pool play with wins over IMG White 54-29, MICS Lady Wolfpack 45-23 and N3XT 50-12. This earned them a spot in the championship with a familiar foe, IMG White. The championship game ended the same as it had before with Impact Academy topping IMG White 39-25.

Congratulations to Team Under Pressure for being crowned champions of the 8th grade at the Sarasota Xplosion Shootout. They began the tournament by posting a 2-0 record in pool play with wins over Lehigh Blue Devils 67-38 and Bay City Ballers 69-52. They opened up bracket play with a rematch against Bay City Ballers. They proved who the better team was with another win by a score of 59-37. In the semis they were matched up against BTB 2022 Black. They won this game to move onto the finals by a score of 49-43. Florida Storm was their next opponent in the all important championship game

The Skills Center Elite won the title in the 7th Grade division of the Sarasota Xplosion Shootout. They went 2-2 in pool play as they were matched up against 8th grade teams as well. This mark earned them a chance for the 7th grade title against MICS Lady Wolfpack. Skills Center Elite showed them who the best 7th grade team was as they took home the title in a close one, 48-45.

Florida Storm were champions of the 6th grade division at the Sarasota Xplosion Shootout. They started the weekend strong with wins over the Mambas 63-31 and High Hoops 48-24. This undefeated pool play record booked them a trip straight to the semis in bracket play where they had a matchup with Dem Boyz. Florida Storm continued their dominance by winning by a score of 59-42. They then capped off a perfect weekend by defeating the Florida Phenoms 58-39 in the championship game.
