Congratulations to the Hollywood Eagles on winning the 8th grade girls division of Slamfest.  They opened up the tournament with a heartbreaking loss against the Lady Jaguars of South Florida 48-49.  The got back to their winning ways with a 50-39 victory over G Nation.  They closed out pool play against the Riviera Beach Chargers, winning that one 50-17.  This set them up for a rematch against the Lady Jaguars of South Florida.  They got their revenge when it mattered most, winning the championship by a score of 52-42.  

The South Florida Sonics won the silver bracket championship in the 11th grade division at Slamfest.  After having a tough time in pool play, the Sonics got to showcase their talents in the silver bracket.  They started it off with a 68-51 victory over the Condors to move into the championship against EBA.  They handled business by defeating EBA 70-53 to win the title.

Both the Treasure Coast Titans and Team Venom cruised through pool play, blowing teams out by nearly 20 points a game.  Their outstanding play carried over to bracket play as well.  Both teams seemed unstoppable until they met one another.  The championship game was truly a nail biter but there can only be one winner.  The Treasure Coast Titans pulled out a narrow win with a final score of 52-51.

The KT Warriors suffered a 2-point loss against HG Elite in their very first pool play game.  They bounced back with an impressive 77-40 win over FTL.  They ended pool play strong with a 59-48 victory over Florida Breeze.  The Warriors met HG Elite again, but this time for the championship.  After another hard fought game, the KT Warriors were victorious with a final score of 48-46.

Both teams were playing up a division and struggled a bit in pool play.  When the two faced off for the 4th grade championship Savage Elite was victorious with a final score of 40-21.

The Skills Center Elite won the title in the 7th Grade division of the Sarasota Xplosion Shootout.  They went 2-2 in pool play as they were matched up against 8th grade teams as well.  This mark earned them a chance for the 7th grade title against MICS Lady Wolfpack.  Skills Center Elite showed them who the best 7th grade team was as they took home the title in a close one, 48-45.

Florida Storm were champions of the 6th grade division at the Sarasota Xplosion Shootout.  They started the weekend strong with wins over the Mambas 63-31 and High Hoops 48-24.  This undefeated pool play record booked them a trip straight to the semis in bracket play where they had a matchup with Dem Boyz.  Florida Storm continued their dominance by winning by a score of 59-42.  They then capped off a perfect weekend by defeating the Florida Phenoms 58-39 in the championship game.

Congratulations to Florida Elite SW on winning the 11th grade division.  They went 1-1 in pool play with a win over Impact Academy Blue 43-38 and a loss to IMG White 71-54.  They began bracket play with a huge win over Impact Academy White 69-20.  They followed that with a 76-70 win over Team X Factor to move into the championship game against IMG Blue.  They took home the title with a 75-61 win.  

The Port Charlotte Pirates took home the 9th grade silver division title at the Sarasota Xplosion Shootout.  After posting a 1-2 mark in pool play, they got matched up against 941 Elite to begin bracket play.  They defeated 941 Elite by a score of 56-44.  In the championship game they faced IMG Performance.  The Pirates prevailed as champions winning by a score of 56-45.

5 Star Athletics were crowned champions in the 5th grade division at the Sarasota Xplosion Shootout.  They toppled their competition in pool play while going undefeated with wins over Skills Center Elite Orange 43-19, Lehigh Blue Devils 50-11, and Florida Elite SW 58-13.  This undefeated mark put them straight into the semis of bracket play.  They opened up with a huge 60-30 win over Hoops on a Mission.  This moved them into the finals for a rematch against Skills Center Elite Orange.  The score was closer this time around but the result was still the same as 5 Star Athletics took home the
