Tournament Results

Congratulations to the Treasure Coast Titans who were crowned champions of the 4th grade division for the SWFL Kick Off.  The Titans dominated all weekend en route to the championship.  Along the way they defeated Florida Storm Elite 54-9, Florida Phenoms 43-22, High Hoops 46-12, and Warriors Elite 41-14.  In the championship game they were matched up against the Florida Phenoms.  This game went like all the others did throughout the weekend, handling the Phenoms by a score of 39-8.

 

The Bad Boys suffered a tough loss to the Florida Lightning in their first game of pool play.  They bounced back however, beating their other two opponents by 30+.  They kept their momentum going and took home the championship by rolling over the Florida Lightning in their rematch.  The final score was 62-36.

 

The Florida Lightning cruised through pool play, routing teams by nearly 30 points each game.  Bracket play was a little tougher for them.  The Championship game was their toughest game, but they were victorious.  They defeated Team Swoop Supreme 66-60.

 

Triple Threat Elite had a tough pool play but turned it around in bracket play.  They started off 1-2, winning big in their first game and losing the remaining two games by 3 or less.  When it came to bracket play, Triple Threat Elite mastered the “win or go home” mentality.  On average, they won by a margin of 12 or more.  They defeated Stampede with a final score of 56-38.

The King of Kingz were the champions of the division 2 bracket play in the 8th grade division.  In their first bracket play game they defeated the Lehigh Devils 55-35.  That victory earned them a spot in the championship game against High Hoops Black.  They defeated High Hoops Black by a score of 45-42 to win the title.

 

Ball4Lyfe cruised through pool play, winning each game by 20+ points.  The championship game was no different.  Ball4Lyfe defeated SOH Elite with a final score of 57-13. 

Hoops On Mission were the champions of the division 2 bracket play in the 6th grade division.  They opened up bracket play by defeating the Mambas by a score of 51-37.  This earned them a date with Warriors Elite for the championship.  They defeated Warriors Elite 44-37 to be crowned champions.

Bay Area Elite were crowned champions of the 7th grade division for the SWFL Kick Off.  They were unbeaten in pool play by defeating Florida Storm Elite 48-20 and Skills Center Elite 42-38.  This earned them a spot in the semi finals of bracket play.  They opened up bracket play with a 58-28 victory of the Mambas.  They then had a rematch with Skills Center Elite for the championship.  This game went the same way but with more points as Bay Area Elite beat Skills Center Elite 59-36 for the title.

Boys 8th Grade Champs

The Miami Knights were the Miami Hoopfest Boys 8th grade Champions.  The Knights cruised through pool play, winning each game by 15 or more.  The Championship game was no different.  The Knights defeated the Miami Dynasty 69-40 to finish the tournament with a record of 4-0.

Boys 7th Grade Champions

The Miami Impact were the Miami Hoopfest Boys 7th grade Champions.  After a tough 44-37 loss, at the hands of the Florida Lightning’s 6th grade team, the Impact didn’t lose again.  They defeated the Beach Chargers and the Florida Lightning to finish bracket play with the best record.  The Beach Chargers and the Impact had a chance for a rematch and the Impact came out on top 61-51.
