Congratulations to Let it Fly for winning the 9th grade division of the Slamfest tournament.  In pool play they had wins over the Royals 70-43, the Condors 70-25, and Beach City 75-48.  This put them into the championship game against the Royals.  They defeated the Royals by a score of 47-39.

Congratulations to Beach City for winning the 8th grade division of the US Amateur Seasons Kick Off.  They were unbeaten in pool play defeating teams like AB BSA 74-48, Ball4Lyfe 82-48 and Wellington Wolves 61-58.  They faced off against the Wellington Wolves in the championship game.  They took home the title defeating the wolves by a score of 61-58

Team Champs

Team Knight took home the championship in the 5th grade division of the US Amateurs Season Kick Off.  In pool play they defeated Elite Warriors 55-35, Camp Grind 57-50, and Stampede 49-37.  By going undefeated in pool play they earned themselves a spot in the championship and a rematch against Camp Grind.  History repeated itself as Team Knight defeated Camp Grind for the championship by a score of 36-28.  They got stellar performances from MVP Jade Card and All Tournament selections Jayden McNabb and Alex Pierre-Louis.

Miami Impact walked away this weekend as champions of the 6th grade division of the US Amateurs Season Kick Off.  They dominated in pool play defeating Team Knight by a score of 37-34 and Camp Grind 36-30.  They had a rematch against Camp Grind to decide who took home the title and the championship was a duplicate of their first match up.  Miami Impact defeated Camp Grind the same way they did the first time with the same score of 36-30.

CBF delivered a powerful message during their first game of pool play defeating Elite Basketball 78-10 but, the Treasure Coast Titans were unfazed.  During CBF’s second pool play game they were defeated 64-49.  This didn’t kill their spirits considering they were still red hot during tournament play.  Both teams kept up their intensity and we all got the much anticipated rematch.  CBF was victorious with a final score of 69-57.

Florida Storm Elite were the champions of the 5th grade division of the SWFL Kick Off.  Florida Storm Elite went 4-0 in pool play to earn themselves a spot in the championship game.  In pool play they earned victories over Warriors Elite 33-21, Hoops on Mission 49-30, Lehigh Devils 52-20, and Florida Phenoms 40-37.  Their championship game against Florida Phenoms was much like their first meeting.  Florida Storm Elite defeated Florida Phenoms by the narrowest of margins, 27-26.

The 6th grade division 1 championship went home to Florida Storm Elite.  They cruised into bracket play with a record of 3-0 with wins along the way against Florida Phenoms 48-46, Warriors Elite 52-26, and the Mambas 68-33.  They opened up bracket play by defeating High Hoops 54-17.  In the championship game they were matched up against Skills Center Elite, who had also went undefeated up into the championship game.  They continued their winning ways by defeating Skills Center Elite 64-50 to take bring home the title.

 

The Wellington Wolves cruised through pool play and tournament play.  They won each game by 20+ except for the Championship game.  The Wolves defeated the Miami impact for the championship with a final score of 65-49.

 

SOH Elite went undefeated in pool play as did Coral Springs Explosion.  SOH’s games were a little more competitive as, Coral Springs won their pool play games by 20+.  Both teams kept up their win streaks during bracket play, each beating teams by 10+.  We all know, we can only have 1 champion and SOH was victorious when the two juggernauts collided.  Final score: 56-44.

Team MAD were the champions of the 8th grade division 1 bracket of the SWFL Kick Off.  In pool play they defeated High Hoops Black 70-48 and Lehigh Devils 66-52.  They matched up against the Mambas in their first bracket play game which turned into a blowout with Team MAD winning 80-40.  The championship game against Florida Storm Elite was much closer than their previous game but they pulled out the victory by a score of 69-64
