Tournament Results

The Treasure Coast Titans Red were your champions of the silver division in 10th grade of the Wellington March Madness tournament.  After being bumped out of the Gold bracket based off of tiebreaker criteria, the Treasure Coast Titans Red defeated Stampede 42-35 to make it to the championship in the silver division.  In the championship game against South Florida Heat Black, the Titans played on another level by defeating South Florida Heat Black by a score of 75-45.  

IMG Blue and Team X-Factor had a very close game 1.  Team X-Factor was victorious with a final score of 73-69.  Both teams finished pool play strong with a blowout wins against BAHE.  They kept their momentum in bracket play with multiple blowout wins leading them both to the championship game.  In their rematch IMG Blue was victorious with a final score of 63-54.

SOH and Bay Area Hoops Elite ran through their competition in pool play.  When they faced off it was only a 7-point game in favor of SOH.  Their bracket play was much of the same, each team winning by 10+.  Their rematch wasn’t as close.  SOH defeated BAHE 67-52 for the championship.

Bay Area Hoops Elite finished pool play with a record of 2-0, while Victory Elite finished with a record of 1-1.  The both defeated the St. Paul Stars in pool play by 10+.  When the two faced off in pool play, BAHE was successful with a final score of 57-51.  After a narrow 41-40 win over the St. Paul Stars in bracket play, Victory Elite destroyed BAHE in the championship game with a final score of 57-37.

Bay Area Hoops Elite and Bay Area Elite Athletics both cruised through pool play and bracket play.  When the two met in pool play Bay Area Hoops Elite was victorious by six.  This was the closest game for each team going forward.  In the playoffs, both teams continued their hot streaks; blowing teams out left and right.  The two met again in the championship but this time Bay Area Hoops Elite ran away with the game.  The final score was 64-42.

SOH struggled in pool play but Balkman Elite had a solid pool play record of 2-1.  They forfeited their 1st game but finished strong with two close wins over SOH and 5 Stars Athletics.  SOH and Balkman Elite figured it out in bracket plan, winning by 10+ which led each team to the Championship game.  Balkman Elite was victorious 45-38 over SOH.

Both Skills Center Elite and Florida Storm cruised through pool play, except for the game they faced each other.  It was a back and forth game and Florida Storm Elite pulled away with a final score of 49-44.  The two met again for the championship and, it was much of the same except, Skills Center Elite was victorious this time with a final score of 52-48.

5 Stars Athletics and Skills Center Elite both played well during pool play, both ending with a record of 2-1.  Skill Centers only loss was at the hands of 5 Stars Athletics.  5 Stars Athletics’ only loss was at the hands of Balkman Elite with a final score of 47-46.  Each team breezed through bracket play and gave us a much anticipated rematch, but

South Florida Elite won the 6th grade Division 2 championship of the SFE Tip Off.  After struggling in pool play, they had a match up with Triple Threat Elite to decide the Division 2 championship.  SFE squeaked by in the championship by a score of 35-34.  

Congratulations to the 7th Grade South Florida Elite team on winning the 8th Grade division of the SFE Tip Off.  En route to their championship, they defeated Ball4lyfe 75-69 and Triple Threat Elite 86-40 in pool play.  In bracket play they defeated Rock United 56-44 to reach the championship.  They squared off against the Wellington Wolves for the title.  SFE came out on top 55-42 to take home the title.
